Yesterday, you were introduced to the first 5 tips to being the best you. Those tips prepared you for the remaining tips you’ll get in today’s post. By taking action on what you’ve received, you will be able to answer the questions, “Am I doing the right things?” and “Am I being the best me that I can be?”, with a resounding “YES!”

Below are the remaining 5 tips that I think will help you become the best you possible:

Overcome Fear
- Fear is a natural human emotion. It’s meant to keep you out of danger. The unfortunate thing about fear is that it often paralyzes you as well. This is not fear’s function. Stagnation happens when you aren’t bold enough to step out in the face of fear. In order for you to become the best you, you need to overcome paralyzing fear and develop the courage to follow your dreams. This is best done by creating a plan of action, then taking baby steps in the direction you want to go.
Learn Humility
- One of the biggest detriments to being the best you is believing that the world revolves around you. Humility is the cure to that ailment. Not thinking of yourself more highly that you ought to, helps you to stay focused on accomplishing your life’s mission, instead of building your own monument.
Give Yourself Away
- It really is more blessed to give than to receive. When you give of yourself, it helps you to learn a lot about what you are passionate about doing in life. Serving others is the essence of understanding your calling, because everything that God calls you to do will fill a need in someone else’s life. Giving yourself away in several different capacities helps you narrow down the need you are best suited and passionate about filling.
Be Honest
- No one trusts anyone who is inauthentic, or even worse, deceitful. Being honest with yourself and others opens the door to authentic relationships and relationships are a vital key to being a better you.
Learn To Teach
- The best way to learn, is to teach. As you develop different skills related to your gifts and talents, it’s helpful for both you and your students, to teach others what you know. This is a way for you to give back, as well as a way for you to grow in an area where you may be weak.
